DETERMINERS Determiners are words come at the beginning of the noun phrase. It is considered as the marker of noun phrase.  We can distinguish determiners by the following formulas: Det + N Det + Adj. + N Det + Adv. + Adj. + N Categories under Determiners: 1. ARTICLE Article is a determiner that may indicate the specificity of reference of a noun phrase. There are two (2) kinds of Article: Indefinite Article. Articles A and An are used to modify nouns beginning in vowels a, e, i, o, u. They are also used in modifying nouns that begins with consonant but sounds like vowels which is usually the letter "h" . CONJUNCTION AND ITS KINDS

Conjunctions are joiners; a word that connects or conjoins parts of a sentence. There are d ifferent kinds of conjunctions which join different kinds of grammatical structures. There are four (4) kinds of conjunctions in English grammar. I have listed them below: I. COORDINATING CONJUNCTION Coordinating conjunctions connect words to words; phrases to phrases; clause to clause. Below are the 7 chief coordinating conjunctions. They are best memorized with the term "FANBOYS." F or is for reasoning. Example: I love Yaya Dub for she is very funny. A nd is for addition. Example: She is a natural comedienne and everybody loves her. N or means "not or". Example: She is not overreacting nor annoying. B ut is for contrast. MODALS AND AUXILIARY VERBS

MODALS Modals are type of auxiliary that is used to express ability, possibility, permission or obligation. They are also called as "helping verbs" . However, they do not really help the verb to give a clearer image of the verb, but it helps to suggest a different meaning of the statement. For example: (1) I ride a bike. (2) I can ride a bike. In sentence 1, the speaker in the sentence is stating that he/she rode a bike. While in sentence 2, by adding the modal "can" , the speaker is now stating his/he ability to ride a bike. Helping verbs have NO meaning on their own. Modal helping verbs modify the meaning of the main verb. The modal verbs (or modal auxiliary verbs) are:  can, could, may, might, will, shall, would, should  and   must . Another is ought to  which is considered as "modal phrase".
